Yuum — Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and PixnMind for using Yuum, the video editor for Android and iPhone, and its AI tools. By using Yuum you accept them. How Yuum handles your data is in the Privacy Policy at yuum.ai/privacy, which is part of these terms.

Who can use Yuum

Yuum is meant for people 18 and over. You may use it for your own videos and for your work, as these terms allow.

The free app

Editing, captions made on your phone and exports are free. The free version shows ads and may put a small Yuum mark on exports; a plan, or a rewarded ad where the app offers one, takes the mark away.

Plans (subscriptions)

  • Yuum's plans (Pro, Creator and Studio, for a month or a year) are subscriptions bought through Google Play or the App Store. The store shows the price in your currency before you buy and charges the account you buy with.
  • A plan renews until it is cancelled in the store's subscriptions. It renews automatically at the end of each month or year for the same price and length, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. The store charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Cancel or change a plan in Google Play › Payments and subscriptions › Subscriptions, or on iPhone in Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Deleting Yuum or your Yuum account does not cancel a plan.
  • When you cancel, the plan lasts to the end of the period already paid for. A price change follows the store's rules, which ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Credits

  • Credits are what Yuum's AI tools are paid with. Every tool shows its price in credits before it starts ("Make · 12 credits"), and nothing is taken until you start it.
  • Each plan gives its credits every month while it is active, and unused credits carry over while a plan is active. When a plan ends, the credits stay in your account but can't be used until a plan is active again.
  • Credit packs can be added to an active plan. They never expire while a plan is active.
  • Credits have no cash value. They can't be sold, transferred to another account or exchanged for money.
  • If an AI tool fails to make its result, its credits are given back. What a tool costs may change; the new price is always shown before you use it.

Purchases and refunds

Google Play and the App Store take the payment; Yuum never sees your card. Refunds are asked for from the store, under its own rules: Google Play at support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637 and the App Store at reportaproblem.apple.com. Yuum can't refund a store purchase itself. If the store refunds a plan or a pack, the credits it gave may be taken back. Restore purchases (on the plans sheet) brings a plan back to a new phone with the same store account.

AI results

  • Yuum's AI tools (among them Yuum Live, Studio captions, Studio cutout, Remove, Depth, AI voice, AI music and AI shots) run on Yuum's server and the services named in the Privacy Policy. Each sends only what it needs, and only when you use it.
  • AI results can be wrong, unexpected or similar to what others receive. Look at a result before you publish it. You decide whether to use it, and you are responsible for what you publish.
  • Every AI result has a Report action. Use it for anything offensive or wrong; Yuum's team reviews reports.

Your videos

Your videos, photos, sound and projects stay yours. You allow Yuum to process only what an AI tool sends, only to make that result for you, as the Privacy Policy describes. You must have the rights to what you edit and send, including music, footage and other people's faces and voices.

Acceptable use

Do not use Yuum to:

  • make or share anything illegal, or anything that sexualises children;
  • copy another person's voice or likeness without their permission, or pass off AI-made content as a real person's words or acts in a way that misleads or harms;
  • harass, threaten or defame anyone, or make content that promotes violence or hate;
  • infringe copyrights, trademarks or other rights;
  • get around the credit checks, the store or the app's protections, take Yuum's server apart, or reach it by any means other than the Yuum apps.

Yuum may refuse an AI request, remove an AI result from its server, or suspend an account that breaks these rules.

Your account

Signing in is optional; it keeps your plan and credits on every phone. Keep your sign-in safe. You can delete your account in Settings › Account › Delete account, or as described at yuum.ai/delete-account.

Changes and availability

Yuum changes as it improves: tools may be added, changed or paused for a time. A paused AI tool takes no credits. If these terms change, the new version is published here with a new effective date; using Yuum after that means you accept it.

No warranty, and limits

Yuum is provided as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows, PixnMind gives no warranty that Yuum or its AI results will be error-free or fit a particular purpose, and is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data on your phone. Keep your own copies of your videos. Nothing in these terms limits rights the law gives you that can't be limited.

Apple and Google

These terms are between you and PixnMind, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for Yuum, its support or any claim about it. If Yuum fails to meet a warranty that applies, you may tell Apple, and Apple may refund the price you paid for the app (Yuum itself is free); Apple has no other warranty duty. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You also agree to the store's own terms, which apply to your purchases.
